Nordic Green Light: Hungary and the Nordic countries promoting green economy

A sustainability business forum with partners from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Hungary

 

The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in cooperation with the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in Budapest and the embassy of Iceland in Vienna hosted a well-attended business conference on 8 May 2017 on themes such as Financing sustainability projects in Hungary; Green transport (e-mobility, CNG, LNG, logistics, etc.)Smart cities, smart solutions (energy storage, green electricity, IT solutions, digitalization, etc.); Green district heating (waste-to-energy, geothermal energy, large-scale heat pumps, biomass, biogas, etc.) and Sustainable buildings and construction (architecture, materials, energy and ecological design, etc.). The conference was opened by Hungary’s State Secretary László Szabó and Norway’s State Secretary Elsbeth Tronstad on behalf of the 2017 presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers. A B2B and B2Municipality meetings were held.

The conference served as one of the inspirations for the Nordic Bridge project.
